Dear Year 7 Student,
Well, I started primary 7 (I’m in Scotland so we call it primary instead of grade) and we have this thing where everyone in primary 7 gets a buddy, which means that we each look after one of the new kids from primary 1 and it is really good fun. I’m okay with kids but I want to know how to be a good buddy because they’re all five years of age and I have a very bad temper and I don’t want to lose it and scare them away.

I understand your problem and I think it may be a bit difficult too, but we`ll find a way to take care of this child, first be his/her friend, and when you need to talk to him/her say looking in his/her eyes and make him/her look at yours, remember he/she is your friend and both either you or the kid need respect.
